ON THE TRAIL OF NATURAL BEAUTY IN THE HEART OF THE ADRIATIC
Zadar County offers a plethora of activities for an active vacation. This tour offers a feast for all the senses, breathe in the scent of the sea and medicinal herbs, take in breath-taking viewpoints, feel the rugged karst beneath your fingertips, savour traditional delicacies, and listen to the soothing sounds of the wind and waves. The tour includes visits to the Paklenica National Park, Telašćica and Velebit Nature Parks, as well as the hidden landscapes of Zadar County.
Day 1: ARRIVAL
Individual or organised arrival and accommodation in a hotel or another type of lodging according to the guests’ preferences.
Day 2: ISLAND OF PAŠMAN
After breakfast, transfer to Biograd. Board a ferry to the island of Pašman, then hike along its southern side and peaks, including a visit to the Monastery of Ćokovac and a local olive oil tasting.
Return to the accommodation for dinner.
Day 3: SILENCE OF THE KRUPA RIVER
Transfer to Golubić, followed by a descent along marked trails to Kudin most. From there, we continue upstream along the Krupa River to Krupa Monastery, where we learn about its history, before proceeding to the river’s source.
During the hike, we refresh the trail markings if they are worn, ensuring that other hikers can navigate safely.
After the hike, we visit a local tavern for a traditional lunch.
Return to the accommodation.
Day 4: STONE SHIP OF THE ADRIATIC – PAG
After breakfast, transfer to Šimuni on the island of Pag, where we begin our ascent to the highest island peak.
After a short break at the Sveti Vid peak, we descend to Kolan, where we will sample local produce, including the famous Pag cheese, at a family-run farm.
On our way back to the hotel, we will stop in Pag town to visit exhibitions on salt and Pag lace. Return to the accommodation for dinner.
Day 5: VELEBIT FAIRY
More than just a simple hike is needed to truly experience Velebit. That is why we explore Paklenica National Park with a local guide. From the car park in Starigrad Paklenica, they will lead us to Bojin kuk and Veliko Rujno, sharing stories about local customs and centuries-old legends. During our hike, we might even encounter the Fairy of Velebit, the patron of Croatia’s mountains!
Return to the accommodation for dinner.
Day 6: DUGI OTOK
We board the ferry to Božava on the island of Dugi otok. From there, we hike to the iconic Saharun Beach. Although the beach is renowned as one of the highlights of the Adriatic, the sea can occasionally wash up debris. To help keep this stunning sandy beach clean, each hiker receives a garbage bag to collect any litter along the way.
After Saharun, we continue to the lighthouse in Veli Rat. Upon returning to the mainland, we conclude our journey with a final dinner in a local tavern, savouring regional specialities and reminiscing about the experiences of the past days.
Day 7: RETURN HOME
Return home.
